Configuration table got erased, now we're in trouble

We have a pair of 3725 routers that had been working fine until a power outage. Now one of the routers lost its configuration data and we are having problems restoring it to its old state.

No matter what we do we always get "line protocol down" on both ends. We matched the MUTs, BW, DLY, etc yet all we RX are CRC errors.

I'm not sure if this is an issue, but on one end we are using an Hssi interface and on the other end we have a serial interface. Does this make sense? Because it makes zero sense to me, but then I'm a total noob.

Please help.

Did you have a backup of the running config file? If so do they match? Can we see a copy of the current running config?
