Dear All,
I have cisco 3745 router which is connected to two different Ehterner switch with two LAN ports. I want to configure Eth 1 interface of the router as a backup for Eth 0 interface so that once the Eth 0 get down the Eth 1 gets the IP of ethe 0 and effect come on the traffic flow.
Kindly let me know th configuration required in the router for getting this.
With Regards
Anand

Hi Anand,
I do no think this is possible on 2 interfaces of single router as you cannot have 2 interface on same router with same subnet.
May be someone else out here may point out something for this kind of setup and requirement.

For it i think you can use :
Backup interface but eth0 and eth1 have to be in 2 different network: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk801/tk379/technologies_configuration_example09186a00800b1148.shtml
please rate this post.
Regards.
