configuring router

Hi,

I am using Windows XP as OS for configuring routers through console. But now I switched to Windows 7 and there is no hyperterminal for configuring router. How could I configure the router using Windows 7? please anyone provide me right solution for this.

there are a number of alternative suggested in the page. Personally i have used both Putty and TeraTerm and they both work fine.
