I am thinking about implementing a redundancy in our network by connecting the core 6500 switch to another one. I would like to know what is involved in connecting the 2 6500 switches!

SK,
You need to config a dot1q trunk & HSRP between both switches.
When config dot1q,pls. pay close attention to native vlan between both cats and vlan allowed on the trunk prts.
