Connecting 2 routers back to back via Console and AUX ports

Hello

I have (2) 3925 routers next to eachother

Router 1 is my Primary and I have a modem connected to it via the AUX port

Router 2 is standby and I do not have any connections to it at all. This router was configured the same as the primary initially but changes have been made to primary that were not applied to secondary router.

My question is:

Can i use the CONSOLE port on the Router 1 Primary router to connect to the AUX port on the Router 2 secondary router to gain access to secondary router and then apply latest config.

From what I have read it looks as though the Source router, Router 1, has to use the AUX port to connect to destination router, Router 2, CONSOLE port

Hi Steve,

What you have read is correct. It works for AUX reverse telnet to console; the other way doesnt work.
