Hi.This question Is Just out of Interest.

If I have a dsl modem/router (provided by the ISP) connected to a cisco router with vpn capabilities , would I have to use the modem/router In transparent bridge mode In order to use the vpn on the cisco ? If I leave the dls modem/router as It Is and use double nat , would that limit me to using only pptp vpn by enabling pptp passthrough on the isp modem/router ?

Thanks

When using cisco routers, it's always better to set any modem in bridge, and have a public IP address on Cisco.
