Re: CSU/DSU bandwidth ?????

Hi

You cant define clocking on fastethernet or ethernet interfaces because they serve 100Mbps and 10Mbps but there is a way to limit the bandwidth note i said limit the bandwidth:

you can use rate limit into interface configuration or define a class-map and use Police command into policy configuration and then assign the policy to your interface.

Thanks.

Re: CSU/DSU bandwidth ?????

hi,

you can use the speed command to define the speed of particular interface but be careful to check that the duplex and speed of the device connecting to this interface are similar.

But i am not sure about csu/dsu bandwidth speed change

interface command mode:

(config-if)#speed 10

HTH

Re: CSU/DSU bandwidth ?????

Hi again

Like the thing which rajinikanth said you can use speed 10 or like my solution but with a little differences.

in multilayer switch to activate layer 3 routing issue the

ip routing

command in global configuration mode and then to activate multilayer switching qos issue the

mls qos

in global configuration mode:

Switch(config)#ip routing

Switch(config)#mls qos

note if you forget to enter second command your policy will not work.
