Device Serial Number Validation

Is there a Cisco feature on CCO that will validate a Cisco serial number? If such a feature does exist does it require special access privileges?

You can use the Service Contract Center:

http://www.cisco.com/public/scc/

login and use the Quick Search for serial #.
