Hi

Have you tried installing the card in another Cisco 1721 router or in any other model ??

Also have you verified the configs of both the router(funtional and the non functional one).

if possible can you post the configs here.

regds

Hi,

we've installed the card in another router and it works well.

we've put also another card, which works well, on the 1721 router, and we can't connect.

Here's the config

does it something to have with ios.

we use :

C1700 Software (C1700-K9O3SY7-M), Version 12.4(7), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc6)

does it support adsl?

Harinirina,

Yes, that image supports ADSL.

Can we see the whole config ?

I don't see access-list 1 on the config posted and also you may have some AAA statements that may be conflicting with the ppp handshake.

we can't even ping outside address on the router.

Here's the whole config

We've tested the card on another 1721 , with same config

ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(7r)XM1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

C1700 Software (C1700-SY7-M), Version 12.3(16), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc4)

it doesn't work

We've tested it on 2621XM , with same config

it works well.

Any idea ?

I don't see an access-list 1 defined anywhere yet you are employing it on the ATM and Dialer1 interface.

Can you do an

access-list 1 permit any

Can you explain, what access-list 1 are you talking about ?

We use access-list 100 for nat, and we have this in the config :

"ip nat inside source list 100 interface Dialer1 overload

access-list 100 permit ip 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 any"

Under the ATM interface, you have:

pppoe-client dial-pool-number 1

Under Dialer1 interface, you have:

dialer pool 1

dialer-group 1

All those statements reference an access-list.

Hi,

we've added dialer-list and vpdn-group.

we can't get ip address.

here's the log:

*Mar 1 00:18:28.259: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Virtual-Access2, changed state to up

*Mar 1 00:18:28.259: %DIALER-6-BIND: Interface Vi2 bound to profile Di1

*Mar 1 00:18:29.227: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface ATM0, changed state to up

*Mar 1 00:18:30.227: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface ATM0, changed state to up

Please post the modified config along with the output from typing 'show interface ATM0' and 'show interface dialer1'.

Here are the show output and whole config

Looks good.

Can you post the same output from the router you say it works ?

I want to compare settings.

Thanks
