difference between HWIC-1GE-SFP & HWIC-1GE-SFP-CU

Hi,

I have a cisco 2821 with HWIC-1GE-SFP card installed on it, we are planning to replace the router with cisco 2921 and use the existing HWIC-1GE-SFP cards.

Would there be any compatibility issues ?

On cisco websites, they mention HWIC-1GE-SFP-CU with cisco 2921, I'm not sure if there is any difference.

HWIC-1GE-SFP is only an SFP port.

HWIC-1GE-CU is a dual personality port.

But do you know if the "HWIC-1GE-SFP " would be compatible with a cisco 2900 series router ?

Not PHYSICALLY compatible.  The PINS at the back of the HWIC card will not "fit" to the back of the router.  This is done on purpose.  

For a 29XX router you'll need EHWIC-1GE-SFP-CU.
