Difference between WS-X6K-SUP2-2GE and WS-X6K-S2U-MSFC2 sup model

Hi,

need help,

can anybody tell me the diffrence between and WS-X6K-SUP2-2GE and WS-X6K-S2U-MSFC2 sup model and can i use both the model in cisco 6509 switch in RPR+ mode(Redundancy)using native OS.

Both are supporting 6509.

RPR+ support by all supervisor engines but that future specefic on IOS version.

i have same ios on both the sup card, can i used both of them same time on cisco 6509 switch using RPR+.

You sure can, both Supe Models are the same. The part number is different because one was built before 2001. The post-2001 model contains 256MB DRAM on the Supe and 256MB DRAM on the MSFC

Found another link where it states the default memory has changed to 512MB on MSFC
