Hi All,
I need to disable the following power supply failure logging on my Cisco 7507 router as it consumes my logging buffer.
Mar 10 00:51:19: %CI-3-PSFAIL: Power supply 2 failure.
Thanks in advance,
Mohammed Mahmoud.

1st: remove/replace the failed PS
2nd: send logging to a server and apply filtering there.

Hi there,
Thanks for the reply, but my own problem is that i wont be able to replace the PS these couple of days, and i urgently need to disable this logging from flooding the router local logging.
thanks in advance,
Mohammed Mahmoud.

For certain messages (like interface flapping) you can disable logging, but for others like this one you can't.
So the 2nd solution I gave you above is the only one. Beside, you always want to have centralized logging in a serious network. What happens if a router freezes and you want to see what happened before it did?
