Doubt on Point-to-Multipoint network

Hi,

Point-to-multipoint uses one IP subnet for all end points, how it differs from point-to-point network , Can anyone explain it clearly ?

On point to point, you would use a different IP subnet per neighbor. P2MP allows you to save IP subnets.

But I wonder how P2MP saves IP subnets, could you please explain it more.

If you have 100 peers, in p2mp mode you only need 1 IP subnet. In p2p mode you woulod need 100 IP subnet.
