DR election on Stub network

Hi,

IS DR election happen only for Transit network , if so why not for stub network ?

There is no neighbor nor adjacency on a stub network so why would there be a DR election.

Perhaps we might clarify what the original poster meant when he refers to stub network?

My assumption is that stub network is a leaf network (to use the tree analogy) which has end stations but no other routers. If that network is an Ethernet network it is my experience that there in fact IS a DR election and the only candidate is the winner.

Perhaps the original poster had something else in mind?
