Re: DRAM & Flash for 3745

Hi

(1)Are the ISPs are of 6Mbps each or 1 Mbps each?

(2)Will you be using routing protols like BGP etc.

From your explaination I assume that they are of 1 Mbs each.A 3745 support NM-4T cards which can deliver 2 Mbps/port.Hence you can easily terminate that.

But when you use an BGP or something, that requires an IP PLUS which will require hardware and software upgradation.

Thanks for your reply. Each Line having 6 MBPS (leased Line). can I terminate all the 6 line in a single router?

Re: DRAM & Flash for 3745

Hi

That will be tricky.A 3745 supports 4 NM-4T which supports speeds upto 8 Mbps per NM so that you can terminate 4 6Mbps ISP links with no problem.

But, Cisco says that yu can terminate 2 WIC-1T/WiC-2T in an NM-2W and get a speed of 8Mbps per WIC.So 3 NM-2W with 6 WIC serials should do the job for you.But wait, there is a catch, In the following link, at the beginning it says that the speed 8Mbps is per WIC, and at below it says per Network Module.I am sorry that I have not tested something like this before.......

Hope that helps.
