I am not sure that we have enough information to really understand your environment and your requirements. From what I think I understand of your requirements it sounds to me like you need to configure HSRP on the routers on the LAN interface which faces the internal part of your network. This will all the devices inside to have a single IP address as their gateway address. And it will put the routers into active/standby on that interface.

Re: dual router active / standby

Sorry for not giving enough info. Current LAN is

core1(C6509-L3)---r1-------isp1

|

| (Channel)

|

core2(C6509-L3)---r2-------isp2

<>

Dual 6509s provide L3 routing for entire LAN. Both connected via etherchannel.

LAN is config'd as EVEN/ODD VLAN configurations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Routers must be config'd as ACTIVE/STDBY using EIGRP only

HTH...Thx for replies

Re: dual router active / standby

See in front you need to configure BGP multihoming and inside you can configure HSRP for single gateway.

For HSRP

interface Ethernet1

ip address 192.168.21.1 255.255.255.0

standby 1 priority 105

standby 1 preempt delay minimum 60

standby 1 ip 192.168.21.10

standby 1 track Serial0

See here is the good examples:
