We are using several Cisco 881 routers on remote location and are looking for a way to implement WAN redundancy.
The routers are using PPPoE.
Is is possible to implement some sort of redundancy with a second WAN connection that will be connected on one of the Switch interfaces?
I was thinking about creating a VLAN interface that will be used for routing and then to connect the second WAN connection on one of the switching ports that will be placed in that same VLAN. Then I would use SLA to track the connections.
I am familiar with configuring one router for two wan connections. I have done this with a 2800 type routers. My question is wether this can also be done with a 881 router by using the integrated switch ports or are there some limitations.
