E1 Leased Line as primary link on VWIC-1MFT-E1 and backup on NM-1CE1T1-PRI

Dear All,

I am deploying a network using 3825 at cental location and 1841 at 3 branches.

Central Router has two PRI lines. One Channelized E1 line is terminated on VWIC-1MFT-E1 and other PRI line on NM-1CE1T1-PRI.

all Remote 1841 routers in branches has WIC-2T and WIC ? IB ? S/T ?V3. We have 64 kbps leased line as main link towards Central Office and ISDN BRI as backup link.

I want to establish connectivity from every branch to central loaction using

64 Kbps leased line and use BRI as backup if primary link fails.

Kindly help me for configuration of Central router and 3 remote routers.

Any help on this will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards,

Sagiterian.

Dear Narayan,

Thanks for your responce but the above link is helpful for BRI to BRI Point to Point connectivity whether in my case connectivity is point to multipoint, ie multiple BRI to Central PRI. Also I need to configure main link (Channelized E1)to connect with 64 kbps leased line at branches as primary link.

Best Regards,

Sagiterian

Sagiterian,

the configuration is very much the same for PRI or BRI, only in the first case there are no bri related commands. In both cases you configure a dialer interface where you put the needed IP settings.

For the channelize E1, under controller E1, configure multiple channel-group with increasing ID and the corresponding timeslot. This will create the serial interfaces where you put the IP addresses.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Dear p.bevilacqua
