Egress & Ingress policy on HWIC - is it possible ?

Hi everyone,

I own router 3845 with 2x1GB ports and one Serial,

Today i implmented very strict QoS service polciy using NBAR and other classic QoS parameters for both inbound and outbond traffic, using MIR/CIR and etc etc..

It is workig great and do the job

however it only support on Gig0/0 And Gig0/1

As well on the Serial

I have additional 4 Ethernet Ports using

HWIC-4ESW interface and it seems that the interface doesnt support the service-policy output feature

Which interface should i purchase that capable of service-policy both out and in

I think NM-4FE will work (i hope so) may someone confirm ?

Re: Egress & Ingress policy on HWIC - is it possible ?

I have checked it very briefly on one of my routers - it's a 2801 running c2801-advipservicesk9-mz.124-4.XC2 IOS and having the HWIC-4ESW installed. I was able to install an empty policy map in the outbound direction on the HWICs port.

Does the router complain about something when the policy-map is applied? If possible, paste it here.

Best regards,
