EHWIC-VA-DSL-A ATM back-to-back connection?

EHWIC-VA-DSL-A on two ISR2 routers.

Basically RJ-11 straight-through going from EHWIC-VA-DSL-A on R1 to R2 EHWIC-VA-DSL-A.

Configure

interface ATM0/0

no ip address

no atm ilmi-keepalive

no scrambling-payload

atm clock internal

!--- This router provides clocking.

!

interface ATM0/0.1 point-to-point

ip address 172.10.10.1 255.255.255.0

pvc 0/40

Is this sufficient to establish back-to-back IP connectivity via ATM link? I am not particularlly familiar with ATM. What other WIC can I use for back to back ATM connections?

ADSL/VDSL do not support back-to-back conenctions. You can use SHDSL or ATM interfaces for that.
