EIGRP neighbor

I just want to confirm the statement as below.

EIGRP exchanges routing information with the neighbors in the form of unicast packets whenever the neighbor command is configured for an interface. EIGRP will stop processing all multicast packets coming inbound on that interface. Also, EIGRP stops sending multicast packets on that interface. Is that right?

Yes it is right. It stops sending and receving the multicast packets out of that interface. Ideally it should forward the unicast packet only to the specifed neighbor and should not stop the sending or recieving of the Multicast packets but this behaviour is not the same as expected. So the use of neighbor command should be taken into consideration with potential impact.

There is currently work going on in this area, to make it where you can have unicast and multicast neighbors on the same interface.
