EIGRP with a static route

If all your networks are part of EIGRP, then you should not need static routes.

Can you post the config?

EIGRP with a static route

Hi Riza

I Have seen many config mix both static and eigrp although all networks are part of eigrp process

EIGRP with a static route

Hi,

maybe these were floating static routes( with an AD > 90).

But without the config it's hard to tell.

Regards.

EIGRP with a static route

I may like to add to the 2 correct answers above.

EiGRP does equal load balancing by default, up to 4 paths. Some configuration uses static routes to direct traffic from certain subnet over a choosen path and not let EIGRP choose the path for that traffic.

Hope it helps

Re: EIGRP with a static route

We use static route to access some other route in other's network which isn't related to our network. I saw many people then redistribute them in their network.
