Hello Anne,

I am afraid I have bad news for you. According to the following URL:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/hw/modules/ps2797/products_documentation_roadmap09186a00802c6e98.html#wp1060743

the module is not supported in the 3640. Please verify this for yourself if you want. The reference is under the header: Product Information and Supported Hardware and Software

Regards,

Leo

Hi

As ritely said by leo its not supported in 3640 but in otherways i have seen them working in 7200VXR boxes without any issues..

Also refer this link for possible module support in 3640.

Hello Anne,

I think you need to configure the following:

Router> enable

Router# configure terminal

Router(config)# card type t1

Router(config)# controller t1

That is obviously only valid when you card is recognized by the IOS. Can you post the output of ´show version´?

Regards,

GP

Thanks for all you reply.

here after is the result of "show version"

The command "card type ..." is not accepted (give me "unrecognized command" )

but I'm trying to configure from ethernet connection.

May be it's a console command.

I'll go on site today . I'm almost sure this board should work with this cisco... ;-)

Hello Anne,

my post was misleading, Leo and Edwin are right: there is no hardware support for the card on your 3640:

NM-1CE1T1-PRI & NM-2CE1T1-PRI

--> not supported on Cisco 3620, 3640, 3640A, 2610-51 (non-XM models)

--> compatible with:

Cisco 2610-51XM (IOS 12.3 & 12.3T)

Cisco 2691 (IOS 12.3 & 12.3T)

Cisco 3660 (IOS 12.3 & 12.3T)

Cisco 3700 series (IOS 12.3 & 12.3T)

Regards,

GP

Anne
