Error Firmware is not running

I am having an error on cisco 2800 with VWIC-2MFT-E1 card, below is the error.

%CONTROLLER-2-FIRMWARE: Controller E1 0/3/1, firmware is not running

can any one please guide how to resolve the issue.

Hi Ahmed,

You should try upgrading to the latest version of the IOS on that router, if you haven't already done so. This error is suggestive of a conflict between IOS and the firmware on the card.

Also, ensure you're using the right IOS image for your particular model of 2800-series.

Have you used this card successfully on that router previously? If not, has it worked with any other router, even a different model of router?
