Exchange Server 2007 & WAN

We are trying to setup and configure Exchange Server 2007 in a cluster across our WAN. The intent is to have continuous cluster replication across the WAN with an active and passive node.

In order for the clustered machines to work, we need them to be able to appear as if they are on the same LAN segment despite being across a WAN from one another. At present, we are looking at AToM: EoMPLS, PPPoE for Q-in-Q, and Static-NAT; however, nothing is set in stone when it comes to choosing a technology.

Our WAN site consists of a private link over ATM to another Data Center using PVC's. One side of the PVC we are using subintfaces and on the other side we are not, no big deal there.

Any suggestions? Help?
