Hi,

I need to extend L2 vlan across a L3 link and I had thought about doing a l2tpv3 tunnel... is the best option? I read in the forum that cat4500 and cat4000 do not support these tunnels but have not found anything in web.

Hope that helps.

It keeps truncating. You'll have to copy and paste the entire line above. Sorry.

Thanks,

is the forum where I read that Cat4500 do not support l2tpv3 tunnels but I have not found any written document about this.

I have 2Cat4500 joined by a L3 link and I want to extend a L2 vlan from one network to another.

put a dedicated link is the best option to do this?

L2TPv3 is only supported on router platforms. You can verify this by using the Feature Navigator. Adding a dedicated link will work.

thank you very much, I will put a dedicated link.
