Extended Ping Data Patterns - what patterns test what?

I am looking for any hints on what extended ping data patterns to run to test for specific problems. I know the following:

0x0000 tests for line code mismatches

0xFFFF tests for repeater power problems

0x4040 tests for time problems

Anyone have any other good patters?

0x5555 an 0xAAAA are other clock breakers.

Largely obsoleted stuff in this era of fiber optics.
