Use the Reset button found at the back of the appliance.
Q. What's the purpose of the reset button?
A. The reset button is used to restore the router to the default factory settings if pressed within 5 seconds of router powerup. Here is how it works:
⢠The router will not react to the reset button if it is pressed 5 seconds or more after powerup.
⢠When the reset button is pressed within 5 seconds of bootup and there is no valid xxx.cfg file in the flash memory, the router boots up with the factory defaults stored in NVRAM.
⢠When the reset button is pressed within 5 seconds of bootup and there is a valid xxx.cfg file in the flash memory, the router boots up with the xxx.cfg file and avoids the startup-config file in NVRAM.

Hope this helps.

According to the lastest version, 5.4, the 860/880/890 ISR's are not yet supported.
"Cisco 800 Series Small Office Home Office Routers: C-831, C-836, C-837, C-851, C-857, C-876, C-877, C-878, 877M"
However, if you want to try, you need to go here ...
Cisco > Support > Download Software
Routers Software > Cisco 877 Integrated Services Router > Cisco Network Assistant > 5.4
Take note that you need to have a valid CCO account. If you don't, you need to contact your authorized Cisco reseller and ask them to d/l a copy for you.
