Is it possible to have multiple Internet Gateways with failover ?. Ways to do it are well described in Sam Halabis' Internet Routing Architectures. But how does it work through Firewalls ? Do the most common Firewalls, e.g Checkpoint, PIX, or Watchguard, let BGP through ?

If BGP can connect to its peers, BGP routing can occur. If you have a firewall seperating your peers, you can use static routes for routes to each other and open tcp 179 on the firewall.
