Just wanted some opinions on a fail safe edge router design. using 7500 gear:
A -
Single router, two upstream providers with dual RSP.
B -
Two routers, one upstream provider per router.

Hi:
Two routers would be the better approach. You have equipment redundancy, plus redundant service providers.
Am I missing something?

I 100% agree, I just wanted to make sure I wasnt missing something....
Adding to this,
What are your feelings on what I will call a "data center switch design"
Single "end of rack switch" Lets say 6500 with redundant supervisor cards.
or
Two redundant "core" switches, each with a link to each "top of rack switch"
I like the latter, but again just wanted some opinions.
Thanks!

Dan:
I would always go with the dual chassis approach over the single chassis with dual SUPs, if the budget allows. I think its pretty straighforward.
