How can I find out if an interface supports fast switching? I am using IOS 12.2. So it should be enabled by default.

You can issue a 'show interface stat'. This will show you per-interface which packets were switched via 'Processor' (slow path), or 'Route-cache' (CEF path).
In 12.2 IOS, most everything should get CEF switched.

Hi William,
It seems almost everything is going through the slow path, even on the GigE interfaces. Strange.
Thanks a lot!
