We have a 3845 router with 12.4.5a(Enterprises Services). Recently a NM-1A-OC3-POM (SMI) card was inserted in the same which gets connected to Nortel passport having Long reach card, using single mode fiber cable. Since then the link hasn't come up. We've tried various configuration combination.
Not sure if the NM with SFP (IR) can communicate with Nortel passport having LR card, as the wavelength is different(1310 for IR and 1550 for IR).
We have another 7507 router, with "PA-A6-OC3+ SMI" fixed on VIP 6-50 and it works fine with the Nortel passport having LR card.
Can somebody help me in identifying where i'm going wrong or is it mismatch of wavelength between the two cards(IR and LR), which is creating trouble?
