File transfers over WAN

Hi,

We have a WAN with 10 sites on either 10MB LES or 2MB serial links. Recently we have had an issue transfering files between windows servers on all links, if the files are over approx 10MB and there are several files to copy it will fail with source drive unavailable some way through the transfer. All site connections run into the one 3745 and file copies work fine locally.

Thanks for your help

Check if packet shaper or packeteer to shape the traffic in your network. This might pose limits on data packets.Check with the service Provider if they have any restriction for the amount traffic between a src and dst.

Are you using Windows Copy, aka drag and drop to move these files?

Is utilizing a more effecient method of transfer such as FTP a possibility?

Also, are your lines clean? Are you taking any errors on the Interfaces that handle the WAN links? Do you monitor bandwidth utilization, and if so, are at capacity?

thanks for your help, it was faulty memory!
