firewall NAT statement question.

Can someone explain to me what this statement is doing.

Static (voutside,outside) 24.38.143.0 24.38.143.0 netmask 255.255.255.0.

Reason why I am asking is we are switching our ISP and this class C needs to be shared with anoter one now.

Hi ,

As per firewall :voutside is probably an interface that has higher secuirty level than outside .

So from the outside interface this network can come into the voutside interface,this will work when you have specified the access lists for the outside interface
