I am installing a ASR1001-2XOC3POS and I am trying to understand if I need this license or not. What kind of problems occur that would require IOS redundancy? I have never heard of an IOS becoming corrupt is this common on ASR routers?

As I know that is two virtual route processor in one physical route processor for non-interrupt software upgrade.
