Forward Port Range with one Public IP.

Hi Everybody:

What is the way to forward a port range to internal ip address and don't break the router internet access?

My situation:

I've a SHDSL connection with 878 (IOS version 12.4) and one public IP.

If I configure:

"ip nat inside source static <private ip> <public ip> route-map VOIP extendable" to do a port range forwarding, the router lost the internet access.

What is the correct way?

Thanks and best regards,

Olaf

Re: Forward Port Range with one Public IP.

think any router allows forwarding of a port to a LAN IP Address. You can use any router.

Re: Forward Port Range with one Public IP.

I thought any router does, but in practice, cisco routers need at least 2 public ip addresses for doing. Don't you think is a waste of public ip addresses?

Do you have a working config?
