frame-relay asymetric switch

Dear All

I work as a network engineer, using primarily satellite links for our carriers. A new project has arrived whereby the satellite network can be used as a MPLS cloud over frame-relay.

The POC made by an external vendor uses seperate routers at the HUB side, one for transmit, one for receive. I'd like to build a simulation of this in GNS3.

I'm trying to achieve this using using an IOS router as a frame-relay switch, then configuring it with asymetrical FR routes. It does not work.

Question is, is this theoretically possible, and if so what am I missing?

Many thanks

Phil
