HI,

I have few doubts with the FRTS. The below are my configuration;

map-class frame-relay DLCI_935_Voice_New

frame-relay mincir 960000

frame-relay traffic-rate 960000 960000

frame-relay adaptive-shaping becn

service-policy output CBWFQ-VOICE

What exactly the traffic-rate 960000 is desined here. Is it the max bandwidth. Please help.

The traffic rate describes your average rate and your peak rate.

The average rate is the amount of bandwidth you are allowed to send on average by the telco.

The peak rate is the amount of bandwidth you are allowed to send in excess of your average rate.

For instance, if you contracted with the ISP for a circuit of 128kbps but can burst up to 256kbps, the command would be frame-relay traffic-rate 128000 256000

HTH,
