ftp is very slow

in our scenario we are using 6509switch in vlan to vlan ftp is very slow.in switch interface speed 100,fullduplex

in server speed is 1000 and autonegotation is enabled.

You may be suffering from a duplex mismatch issue. Please verify the client side connection to the network. This should be either fixed on both sides or both set to auto.

As you have mentioned in the post theres a clear mismatch on the speed part on both the sides.

Can you revert on which module you are connecting this servers NIC and also whether any previous tries carried out on changing the speed and duplex on the server side so as to match the settings on the switch side ?if not pls try to hardcode the same on both the sides and check..

Also are you seeing any errors on the switchport or any logs related to any mismatches either speed or duplex in the switchlog ?
