Dears,
Is there any way to make GLBP works like HSRP ???...I mean one of the routers works in active mode and the other one in standby??
on page 15 of the following document
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/732/Tech/ipservices/docs/glbp.pdf
I read ::
If no load balance algorithm is specified, default is round-robin
also on page http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6600/products_data_sheet0900aecd803a546c.html
I read:::
If no load-balance algorithm is specified then GLBP will operate in an identical fashion to HSRP, the AVG will only respond to Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) requests with its own Virtual Forwarder (VF) MAC address, and all traffic will be directed to the AVG with no occurrence of load balancing.
This confuse me!!!!
Any I dea???
Thanks for your cooperation

All the algorithms within GLBP perform some kind of load-balancing. I covered this subject before in another thread, check it out

which one is correct if i didnt specify the load balancing algorithm :
1- GLBP will work in Round-Robin mode
OR
2- It will work like HSRP.
