hello,
is it possible to configure a tunnel, which has the source and destinationinterface in a vrf AND this tunnel should be a global interface.
with this scenario a want to define a backup pe-pe connection.

This can be achieved with the tunnel interface command "tunnel vrf". This command forces the lookup of the tunnel source and destination addresses in the configured VRF.
For more information on this command, see the following document:

Hope this helps,

hi hritter,
thx for answer.
yes, i know this command - but in every example i read, the tunnel itself is in a vrf.
i want the tunnel (which has source and destination in a vrf) to be a global interface, where i can configure label-switching for example.
i want to use a vrf interface on a pe for backuping the global pe-pe interface.
i know - its a littlebit strange - but i want to try.

The tunnel interface itself will be part of the global unless you specifically configure it to be part of a VRF using the command "ip vrf forwarding
Hope this helps,
