I was wondering if anyone knew what the maximum amount of traffic that can be passed over GRE tunnels for this sup. I seem to think that it is 35Mb, but not really sure. Also can I add an ASIC daughter card to improve this?
For the throughput of each GRE tunnels EARL7 max throughput is 50Mpps for layer3 pkts, but GRE tunnels involve one recirculation, so it is cut into half for those pkts. So, if all pkts were GRE, the max would be 25Mpps for an EARL7.
