I can only find the answer for IPv6 tunnels, which is 256 (search for "256 IPv6 GRE tunnel"):

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/catalyst-6500-series-switches/white-paper-c11-737405.html

Hi ,Philip D'Ath :
Thanks for your kindly help .I searched some information , It seems the Maximum number of GRE tunnels is related to IDB (Interface Descriptor Block) ,which is a special control structure internal to the Cisco IOS software that contains information such as the IP address, interface state, and packet statistics.
The Maximum number of GRE tunnels is base on the IDB limitation .(it seems like this ,I'm not sure ).
Links as below :
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/ios-nx-os-software/ios-software-releases-122-mainline/15096-idb-limit.html#idb_limits

And , I also cannot find the exact number of IDB that C6807 with SUP6T support .
I Can only find the information as below :
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/switches/catalyst-6500-series-switches/24053-193.html

The link above shows that Cat6500 can support " Maximum number of Software IDBs 12000 ."

I want to know whether this is the exact answer .

Thanks and Best Regards ,
