Hi,

From the data sheet I can see that 12810 supports 40G/slot. Does that mean it 40G full duplex or 80G full duplex. If its only 40G full duplex, how can we get a switching capacity of 800Gbps for the system (40 X 10 = 400Gbps only)?

If its a 80G full duplex, it should support a line card of 4 X 10GE, right? But Cisco has not released any 40G (single or 4 X 10GE) interfaces for 12810 or 12816. Any specific reason? Even SIP-601 supports only 10G.

Customers say Cisco claims 40G/slot on 12800 but there are no line cards or SIP to support this claim.

Regards,
