I created an input policy-map to mark application traffic. When I applied it to a interface on 2960, I got the following message:
14w2d: %QOSMGR-4-HARDWARE_NOT_SUPPORTED: Hardware limitation has reached for policymap QOS-LAN
Can you please tell me what I should check? here is "show ver":

Hi,
Here is the official statement re the error
Error Message QOSMGR-4-HARDWARE_NOT_SUPPORTED: Hardware limitation has reached for policymap [chars]
Explanation This message means that the policy map configuration has exceeded the limitation of the hardware. You configured more QoS ACL entries than the number specified in the Switch Database Management (sdm) template. [chars] is the policy-map name.
Recommended Action Reconfigure the class map or the policy map, and reduce the number of QoS ACLs.
Taken from link:-
You need to review your policy map
From the config guide
QoS ACL Guidelines
These are the guidelines with for configuring QoS with access control lists (ACLs):
•If you use QoS ACLs for classification, you can use the sdm prefer qos global configuration command to set the Switch Database Management (SDM) feature to the QoS template. SDM configures system resources to support the maximum number of access control entries (ACEs). For more information on the SDM templates, see "Configuring SDM Templates."
•It is not possible to match IP fragments against configured IP extended ACLs to enforce QoS. IP fragments are sent as best-effort. IP fragments are denoted by fields in the IP header.
•Only one ACL per class map and only one match class-map configuration command per class map are supported. The ACL can have multiple ACEs, which match fields against the contents of the packet.

thanks. I will change SDM template to the QOS today.
