when you enter a hostname command with a name greater than 16

characters long this happens. It's no big deal.

Hi Chris,

I read "" If lat is enabled on an interface, a lat node-name set (that is

different to the router's hostname) and then the hostname changed, it seems to make the recently-configured node-name disappear from the running config.

What is the lat node-name exactly?

Thanks,

satish

LAT is (was) a protocol that was part of the

DECnet routing package. Haven't seen it in years.
