Have a 64K Circuit installed and want to use VWIC-1MFT
I have a 4 Wire 64K Circuit installed at the customers premise and want to use a VWIC-1MFT-T1 to interconnect to this, I have the following configuration indicated below: I am unable to get the circuit to come up.
Re: Have a 64K Circuit installed and want to use VWIC-1MFT
First the vwic-1mft-t1 is a T1 port and the pin out is 1,2-4,5 for a T1 circuit. The pinout for a 56k/64k circuit is 1,2-7,8 or they are not compatible in that sense. Also changing the pinout with a cable will not solve your problem as a T1 module uses timeslots and a 64k does not. So changing the T1 configuration to one timeslot will not pickup the 64k circuit comming in. To land the 64k circuit you need a 56/64k module. There is no way to use a T1 module on a 64k circuit as the physical protocols are different. IE timeslots and no timeslots.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
