Hi,

Please check for sh processes cpu sorted for higly utilized event.

Also please check for sh interface counters nonzero if there is any particular user who is creating huge traffic / loops which is causing the cpu process to go down.

Also check in sh logging to find any port which makes continious violation.

I hope with this you can sort out the  problem.

Also you need to have a proper Qos if you much priority traffic to go out without any issue.

Please do rate if the given information helps.

Here is a list of reason why a multicast packet would be punted to the CPU:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps708/products_tech_note09186a00804916e0.shtml#multicast

I often see TTL set to 1 as the most common condition.

You mentioned you enabled multicast on all Vlans, can you provide the configuration from the switch along with the output from 'show ip mroute' ?

Edison
