Hi, I have managed to get my ASA to log changes made to our syslog server, but can't on a cisco router like one of my 877's, any example on how I can do this?

Hi,

In brief:

logging 10.1.1.1 !IP address of your syslog server

will enable the sending of syslog messages to the specified server.

For a detailed explanation of the command and further "tuning" options have a look at "Logging System Messages"

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/netmgmt/configuration/guide/nm_troubleshooting_ps6441_TSD_Products_Configuration_Guide_Chapter.html#wp1001168

Hope this helps! Please use the rating system.

Regards, Martin
