How does CBWFQ determine the minimum allowed bandwidht in class

Hi All,

im currently configuring CBWFQ with LLQ on my 6509 POS interface, but i recived this following errors; im not sure if this is related to POS interface specific limitations

6509(config-pmap-c)#class qos-streaming-video
6509(config-pmap-c)#bandwidth 3000
%3000 kbps is less than the minimum allowed of 9756 kbps on POS9/1
6509(config-pmap-c)#bandwidth 5000
%5000 kbps is less than the minimum allowed of 9756 kbps on POS9/1

Re: How does CBWFQ determine the minimum allowed bandwidht in cl

Hi,

Can you paste config for class-map and also needed platform/ios and linecard type used for this pos interface.

this is like few ethernet interface (specially on 2+4 Ge-wan card inerfaces) allowed minimum of 256k bw in out direction for precedence 1 classes.

Re: How does CBWFQ determine the minimum allowed bandwidht in cl

Hi marlon,

I have found that shaping and priority have limitation of minimum of 9756 kb on oc48 optical service module card. But somehow it is not documented

anywhere of bandwidth command .

But I am sure this is due to limitation of optical service module.

Please see below for clarity

Physical InterfaceMinimum rate for shape average command (bps)
T3 and below256,000
OC3 POS607,000
Enhanced OC3 POS256,000
OC12 POS2,439,000
Enhanced OC12 POS256,000
OC48 POS9,756,000
GE WAN1,000,000
Enhanced GE WAN256,000
hierarchical traffic shaping (parent)1,000,000
hierarchical traffic shaping (child)Greater of (a) 256,000 bps or (b) 1/255 of the parent rate

It is well if you ask cisco tac for this issue.
